Congrats to all the graduates from Heartlandhiphop.com. Both Robert C. Pasker III and DJ Brandon have their degrees and it was a moment that they both believe changed their life.” Graduation was the proudest moment of my life” says DJ Brandon “I will never forget the feeling of walking in a cap and gown in front of my family and friends”
Grammy Award winning rapper Lecrae had a graduation song that fits the maturity level of a college graduate and allows for celebration with out all the demoralization that is seen in some of the most popular songs of today. Congrats to him for making this work of art and congrats to the graduates for their inspiration.
This interview is very interesting to me for a view reasons. Just Blaze confronts Dame Dash and has the conversation. The conversation that they have I can imagine that Beanie Siegel, Memphis Bleek and lots of other people may want to have. The conversation he has about how he wanted to do something “More PG” with his life. If you are a hip hop head this interview takes you deep in the mind of a boy that became a man.
This is the one you’ve been waiting for. Damon Dash talks Aliyah, life without Jay Z, how he’s completely done with the music game, why he was an asshole to anyone who got in his way and why the kind of “broke” he is might be the best thing in the world. We also get some very tense moments as Just Blaze finally airs out why he didn’t eff with Dame. Ya’ll truly ain’t ready for this dynasty thing.
This industry is about branding and I am all the way in with Dj Ryan Wolf and how he is building his brand. I love the colors of the Screwpreme tape. I think this could be a name of a series that we hear about 10-15 years from now. This mix tape is dope chopped and screwed has not went anywhere. I chop and screw live at some of my shows so I know the people are into it. RIP DJ Screw. Download the mix tape it is fire.
The Hot 97 DJ Peter Rosenberg has long been a champion of New York City’s resurgent rap underground, which is just now shaking off the traditionalist funk that it was in for years. And now he’s recruited a whole lot of the city’s rising talent to appear on his The New York Renaissance mixtape. We’ve already posted three of its tracks, and they’re all winners: Action Bronson’s “Compliments 2 The Chef,” World’s Fair’s “96 Knicks,” Joey Bada$$’s “Day In The Life.” And now the whole tape is up online, and it’s also got contributions from A$AP Rocky, Flatbush Zombies, Troy Ave., Homeboy Sandman, Smoke DZA, and a whole mess of others.
